The company said it was aware of the complexities of operating in Africa, so it had entered into partnerships to strengthen its execution capability.

"The group will continue on its path as a skilled, services- and solutions-led organisation. People are key to the growth of the business and Datacentrix will support the ongoing development of the right skills to deliver intelligent, complex solutions to the market in an ever-changing IT (information technology) landscape. Datacentrix's technology partners remain core to its strategy," it said.

Datacentrix is an ICT systems and services provider to both private and public sector organisations in SA. The group comprises three operating divisions - managed services, technology and business solutions.

In the six months to end August 2015, Datacentrix reported a 14% rise in headline earnings per share to 27.7c compared with the year-earlier period, while revenue increased by 11.3% to R1.23bn.

The company declared an interim gross cash dividend of 9.23c per share.
